Regional Sales Director - Hazardous Waste - K in Tallahassee, Florida

Regional Sales Director for an environmental hazardous waste company. The successful candidate will have a MINIMUM of ten years of sales experience in the hazardous waste arena; and, a minimum of 5 years as a Regional Sales Manager.  The regional territory is KS, MO and MS to FL.  The Regional Sales Director must have a working knowledge of hazardous waste sales and service processes; RCRA; verbal and written communication and presentation skills; effective leadership abilities; record of management and sales success; and ability to analyze sales trends.  This position will manage and drive the activities of the sales team in the assigned region to ensure all efforts are made to attain or exceed the regions daily, weekly and monthly profitable revenue goals and objectives.  Salary is up to $110,000 commensurate with experience plus performance bonus.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 The Regional Sales Director will formulate and implement an effective marketing plan for the assigned region on a client-by-client basis including policies and procedures on sales and advertising to ensure success in delivering profitable sales revenue.
 Recruits, hires, develops, mentors, appraises and coaches an active sales team of 10 to 15 full-time sales professionals, creating a challenging, motivating environment that drives business and profitability.
 Establishes processes and procedures that ensure optimum productivity and achievement of profitable revenue targets, including sales statistic analyses, planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
 Communicates to management by delivering periodic and ad hoc management reports indicating sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
 Sources new potential customers.
 Closes hazardous waste sales on a direct basis as needed.
 Analyzes sales trends to assist sales team in increasing sales.
 Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential; implement hazardous waste sales strategies to achieve goals.
 Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist operations in promoting sales.
 Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales and operations representatives.
EDUCATION
 Four year degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance or similar field.
DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 Developed working knowledge of sales and service processes and techniques in the hazardous waste/industrial waste arenas.
 Developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
 Developed effective leadership abilities.
 Record of sales success.
 Developed effective interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain productive relationships with internal and external groups.
 Ability to utilize software to present data and reports in an effective format.
 Organized self-starter with the ability to operate under minimal supervision and guidance.
 Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint And Outlook).
