W.H. Grindley "Merion" Large Oval Serving Platter in Green
Dates to the mid 1800s. Nice transferware pattern.
"Produced by W.H. Grindley and C. England. The pattern is Merion. William Harry Grindley founded his pottery in Newfield Tunstall on Stoke on Trent in 1880. He produced earthenware and ironstone china primarily for the Canadian and United States market."
This pattern is made with and without gold accents. This tray does not have the gold accents.
Length: 15 1/4 inches, Width: 10 1/2 inches, Depth 1 3/8".
The center of the platter has very minor use marks, but the condition quite good for a piece of this age.
There are a few spots of small chips/stains as shown in photos.
This can be delivered to Tallahassee, Florida area on weekdays.
