Meet Bear! He is an approximately 1.5 - 2 year old male Chihuahua. Bear is a bit on the big side, but he is working on losing the extra weight. He is super sweet. He wants to be with his human at all times and adores sitting in his human's lap while getting pets and hugs. He loves to give kisses, so be ready to get wet! He can be playful and like to play tug-o-war and chew on toys and bones. He gets along well with other small dogs and with cats. Bear is very shy and is extremely nervous around new people. It takes him some time, but once he warms up to you, he will be your best friend. Bear does not like crowds and does not do well with children. He needs a quiet, adult household where he can continue to gain confidence and learn to trust people. Bear knows some basic commands and is potty-trained and crate trained. He is learning to walk on a leash and does quite well when in a quiet area. Bear is also very good during grooming time. Bear is up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped, and on monthly flea and heart worm preventatives. Bear's adoption fee is $150.
